2006 Joint Conference of Librarians of Color (JCLC).   Paper title is Social Capital: Points of Discussion by Public and Academic Librarians.  I presented the academic librarians side of this argument while my colleague from the Casa Grande Public Library in Casa Grande, Arizona  presented the views of public librarians. 2006 Indiana Library Federation (ILF) Diversity Task Force.   Invited to submit and coordinate a program for the Indiana Library Federation (ILF) Annual Conference held April 11-13, 2006.  Coordinated a panel discussion consisting of papers and PowerPoint presentations. Librarians from the University of Notre Dame and Indiana University presented at the conference.  Proposal submitted August 26, 2005. Proposal accepted and program presented April12, 2006.

 

2004 American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference in Orlando Florida sponsored by the American Library Trustee Association.  The theme for the 2004 program centered on cultural diversity and communication. I presented a paper titled “Libraries: a Diverse Community” Orlando Florida, June 27, 2004.
